This is the best Navigation system I’d ever use for the iphone. It’s very inexpensive but yet acts and perform better than the more costly ones. Thank you very much for such a trouble free Turn by Turn navigation APP!!!! Must HAVE APP
@everfresh59 To save power, the screen would actually have to be turned completely off. Apple does not provide an API for developers to dim the backlight or turn it off from within the application. So unfortunately at this time we cannot implement a clever power savings scheme such as you’ve described.
I’m still in search of a good GPS app for my 3Gs. I was just wondering if Motion X actually dims or actually turns off the screen if your driving in the same direction for long periods of time. But, when you finally have to make a turn or exit, it automatically comes back on?
Of course I’d have to turn my auto lock off, but just wanted to know if this app has this option, just because it helps keep the iphone at a lower temp, and of course consumes less power.

This app is apparently geared to the US–and I live in Canada. When I search ‘malls’, for instance, instead of directing me to local malls, it directs me to malls in N.Y. state! Probably a good app if you live in the states but not so great for the Canadian market.

I HAVE THIS ON MY IPHONE 3Gs LUV IT! A LOT OF THINGS CHANGE FAST IN WAIKIKI. EVEN AFTER LIVING IN HAWAII 37 YEARS I FIND THIS VERY USEFUL!
I love this app. I’ve taken it all over the US, and it’s worked very well! Like most GPS road systems it’s taken me on some pretty inventive routs, but it’s always gotten me where I want to go. Save once, but I lost cell service. It would be nice if you all added map pre-loading like you just did on your MotionX-GPS app. Good job on the BTW. :)

This application rocks! Forget Tom Tom with the monthy fees; purchase the app and pay a one time fee of $24.99 and your off on a voice guided map tour. This is hands down the best money I’ve spent in a long, long while
go to the walmart auto department they have one that mounts to the wind shield and has a optional vent mount its made by scosche. its made for vertical but also goes horizontal, bendable stiff neck feels solid takes alot of force to bend, 360 degree rotation, I like it, its something you might want to take a look at. and its only 20 bucks.

Yes, a data connection is required. The application is not compatible with the iPod touch.

Does this need a data connection? I’d like to use it on my iPod Touch with a GPS receiver add-on.
It’s just like a harming garmen gps with savings unheard of. Have already convinced some friends to purchase instead of upgrading their gps
